FDA Uncovers 72 Tainted Weight Loss Products

tainted-weight-loss-products

The FDA has recalled 72 Weight Loss Products due to “risky” ingredients.

“Some of the products claim to be ‘natural’ or to contain only ‘herbal’ ingredients, but actually contain potentially harmful ingredients not listed on the product labels or in promotional advertisements,” the FDA said. “These products have not been approved by the FDA, are illegal, and may be potentially harmful to unsuspecting consumers.”

The FDA went on to state that these products contained prescription strength amounts that exceeded the recommended dosage and could cause health risks to consumers. Adverse reactions could range from high blood pressure, seizures, tachycardia, palpitations and increased risk of depression.

A complete list of all 72 products on the FDA’s national alert list can be viewed here

The Weight Loss Industry Is Banking On Your Failure!
Each year Americans spend more than $30 billion dollars on weight loss products. The sad truth is most of these products are ineffective at best and at worst, well, serious injury and/ or death can occur.

Yes, there’s a lot of confusion and misconception regarding weight loss in the world today. Big corporations use infomercials and other forms of advertisement to mislead you… give you false hope, and trick you into buying their miracle solutions. They know that you are desperate to try anything to look better and feel better. These big corporations care nothing about you. The only thing they care about is their bottom line (profits). They will do or say anything in order for you to give them your money. Think about it: If what these companies sold really did work, obesity, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes would be a thing of the past. Instead, all of these diseases are on the rise with no end in sight.

Remember, the only way to safely lose weight and keep it off is through proper eating and effective exercise.
Stay away from the pills, powders, and potions.

My 100 Rep Push-Up Challenge

Yes, it’s true! I have entered a 100 Rep Push-up Challenge with a couple of fitness professionals across the nation.

This Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) I will attempt to do 100 push-ups in a row.
I will film it, post it on You Tube, and post it on my blog for all the world
to see… Whether I make it or not.

If I make it, I’ll be happy. If I don’t, I’ll keep training until I do.
In other words, I will own 100 push-ups or die trying.

Why Am I Doing This?
I think it’s important for us to set goals and achieve them.
Whether it’s weight loss or achieving a personal best in some area of your life,
having something to strive for is good for your mind, your body, and your soul.

Also, I think it’s important for a person in my position to strive for something
he’s never done.
My job is to help people achieve their goals. How can I expect people to follow my advice if I don’t practice what I preach?

So, there you have it.
5 weeks ago I was able to do just over 50 push-ups.
I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do on Superbowl Sunday.
Wish me luck!
